Katrina Shek

Founder

I’m Katrina, a current year 11 IGCSE student at West Island School. I started Dreamality Academy with Mimi to spread kindness in our community. I aim to provide help for the underprivileged community by tutor young children and providing basic essentials for grassroots families. As I am able to feel the inclusion within the community and since it has given me a lot, and I think that it is time for me to give back the community. Furthermore, I noticed that there are a lot of children that are unable to participate in extracurricular activities because of the cost required. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and develop their interests. Aside from volunteering, I am extremely interested in science and technology. I look forward working with you all and to strive for a better and equal community.

Mimi Chen

Co-Founder

Hi everyone, I’m Mimi Chen, and I am currently a Year 11 student at West Island School. I have recently started Dreamality Academy with Katrina because I am passionate about giving back to the community and helping others, especially when it comes to education. I have had the opportunity to participate in various teaching activities, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Now, I am excited and proud to have the chance to start Dreamality academy, where I can help children discover their dreams, and help to develop their strengths. Apart from teaching and working with kids, I also have a keen interest in mathematics and enjoy playing basketball. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with the community to provide children with a high-quality education.

Katrina Lam

Program Director

I am Katrina Lam, a year 11 student from West Island School currently. I joined Dreamality Academy as the program director in order to help and support underprivileged primary students in our community. I aim to provide more physical activities to young kids in our community as I noticed that underprivileged children often have difficulties with accessing daily physical activities. I’m passionate about various kinds of dances and ball games. I can’t wait to work with the team to create a better future for the community!

Bernice Zhong

Graphic Design Director

I’m Bernice, a student at West Island School. I decided to join Dreamality Academy because I personally think it is an exciting and crucial opportunity for me to participate in a non-profit organisation and provide for primary students. I find the course of digital design interesting, and as an accepted designer of the organisation, I hope to further develop my skills in this topic and apply them to fully support the community. Furthermore, the subject of tutoring interests me a lot, and I aim to be able to give the children what they truly deserve and support them in figuring out which path is right for them.
